The water-tight Gap Filler silicon can withstand temperatures of up to 150 °C,

while the toilet gap filler is 80 °C.

Therefor we do not recommend using them on the cooktop because they are not highly heat resistan products.

The heat or cold resistant properties are differs from every silicone products.

The main cause of mould growth in silicone is water getting behind the silicone.

The anti-mold component in our products can slow down mold growing but it does not mean not attract mold over time.

It is recommanded to always keep the surface of your silicone dry and no permanent moisture. 

The roof tile fixing bond maintains a rubber-like elasticity after curing.

It has excellent heat resistance, water resistance, and weather resistance properties.

The silicone itself does not melt in the natural environment.The silicone oil contained in the roof tile bond may leak out and appear to melt.

The smells are made up of MEKO(methyl ethyl ketoxime)that are components of「Bath Seal」or「Sharpie Silicone S」silicone products.THe smell itself is not harmful but high exposure to it can cause headache, therefore it is highly recommend to keep the window open when applying.The smell stops once fully cured.Also, if you are worried about the odor, there are also silicone sealants that cure while generating alcohol instead of MEKO gas such as「Polyca Seal」, which does not generate chemical smell but it is not anti-mold. 

Yes, modified silicone can be applied to textured walls, but do not paint over the wall with oil or phthalic acid(alkyd) based paintings because it will not dry.Same thing would happen to water based paintings.

 If you want to paint over silicone sealant then none bleeding silicone sealant is highly recommanded. There are variety of Sharppie brand non bleeding silicone sealants available. 

Some of our customers are using it that way but we recommand you to check first whether the sealant can be painted by high temperature coating method.

Depending on the time between silicone apply and high temperature coating as well as high temperature coating process, surface blistering may happenes.

The product you are asking is called See Through M-NB.

There are similar named products such as Modified Silicone Sealant Mand many other modified silicone sealants but with total different properties,therefore please make sure to choose the correct names.

The big difference between the two is the hardnes after curing.

「Modified Silicone Sealant NB-LM」is low modulus and remains permanently elastice to ensure flexibility therefore can be used for siding joints in both new construction and renovation becauseit.

On the other hand, Paintable Modified Silicone Sealant」 is relatively high modulus and more rigid once cured,therefore for renovation purpose is ok but cannot be used for newly built siding joints.

In order to make the color of the sealing materials easy to understand, we have posted the similar color code found in the color chart from Japan Paint Manufacturers Association(JPMA) for each product on our homepage.

However, these colors are only close approximations of the actual sealant colors, and if there is no color close to the color chart, the product will be labeled as  "no applicable color".It is better to  purchase a color chart book from the JPMA to have a better knowledge of the color. 

To make getting the sealant color you need easy and fast we are trying our best to get our sealants registed with the exact color code. 

"exact match coluor"sealant was made by matching the exact colours that recommended by the siding manufacturer;

"approximation colour" sealant was made by matching the siding sample(s) colours brought from the manufacturer;

"similar colour from other companies"sealant was made by following other company's reference. Since the colour is not selected after checking the sample siding materials, there may be some differences compared to the actual colour.

Clean the damaged area with a screwdriver or stiff brush to remove any loose paint or rotted wood. Lumber Repair Caulk NB is a high viscosity sealant therefore it won't flow throug even if it is a penetration hole.

However, if the hole is too deep it will takes long time for curing. It is better to fill the holes with bubble wraps or wood chips but make sure to apply more than 10mm thickness of caulking materials.
